Catalogue Note

Rao Dev Singh stands with his beloved holding a lotus bloom and offering her a mala (flower garland) which she accepts demurely holding open her veil. He wears an ankle-length  transparent white muslin jama over a mauve underlayer and a long gold flower-embroidered patka around his thin waist.  Upright slender trees bloom left and right.  Against a green ground with a hint of landscape beneath their feet.  Swirling clouds above.
