Catalogue Note
A rotund bearded sheikh in a mauve floral-patterned robe and hat, sits meditating against a maroon bolster. Under a mango tree bursting with fruit, fingering his subhah (prayer beads). His disciple sits respectfully facing him - his right hand holding his left wrist. On an emerald-colored rug with maroon floral border a white marble tank behind them. In the distance plantains unfold and birds fly in a lapis blue sky.
