Fragmentary as viewed. With wear, accretion, surface abrasions and chipping throughout. Loss to proper right earlobe and proper left ear, as viewed. Wear, losses and areas of staining to hair. The nose is stone, but likely not original to the sculpture. A line of resin filler is visible under blue light inspection around the nose and between the eyes. Hairline crack along darker seam of schist which runs from proper left cheek, over the head and down the back of the head. Blue light inspection does not reveal previous break or filler along seam.
