Condition

The work is sepia wash over black chalk on paper. The sheet is hinged to the mat backing at several points along the top and bottom margins verso, with slight associated discoloration visible, recto. There is minor surface dirt and some handling creases throughout. There is a slight fault in the paper which is visible in the lower left quadrant beginning about an inch above the lower margin, and extending upwards about an inch. There is faint mat staining and light staining to the sheet. The work is matted to expose the sheet edges. There is a small flattened diagonal hard crease in the extreme upper right cornerDue to the matting the entire verso has not been examined. The work presents very well and is in generally very good overall condition.
