Condition

The canvas is not lined. UV examination reveals scattered lines and areas of retouching in places, the most prominent of which is a horizontal line (approximately 20cm) to the lower edge. There is a paint loss approximately 1cm wide on the right side of the sitterÂ’s torso and a further line of paint loss (approximately 5mm) to her proper left arm. There are fine lines of craquelure in places to the more thickly applied pigments. This work is in overall fairly good condition.
