  • AN AGATE ENAMEL, DIAMOND-SET AND GOLD DESK TIMEPIECECIRCA 1920
  • height and width 7.4 cm
• circular nickel lever movement, 15 jewels • guilloché dial overlaid with translucent blue enamel, stylized hands • gold bezel stamped MC for Maurice Couet overlaid with white enamel, Roman numerals spaced by floral medallions • agate case with cut corners, diamond-set accents to the corners, hinged strut • case signed Cartier, N.Y., movement and strut signed European Watch & Clock Co., Inc, case and strut with hand-stamped reference numbers 

Condition

The movement is running at the time of cataloguing, however it may require service soon. The dial is very attractive with all enamel intact. Case in good order overall. Case bac k tarnished and scuffed throughout consistent with age. Inside of case back stamped 437. The winding crown is stamped (1)846. The strut is numbered 319, and 437 to the interior of the strut, and 437 is repeated on the surround of the movement. The movement is numbered 152497.
