Condition

Movement running at time of cataloging, however not tested for the accuracy of time and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Case worn to the edges and with scuffs and light scratches all consistent with age and use. Engraving to the case back: SIR. Dial with signs of restoration, marks to the dial at 12, 2, 3, and 7 o'clock as well as above the center arbor. Movement with scratches and loss of finish. With an associated monogrammed pocket knife.

The very attractive and slim Ref. 616 is an excellent example of Patek Philippe's Art Deco pocket watch offerings. According to our research, the present lot represents the first time this reference has been offered in white gold. It is more typically seen in yellow gold, stainless steel, or a stainless steel and pink gold case.
