Catalogue Note

With a Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin, Attestation, commemorative coin and 175th Anniversary presentation box.

The Patek Philippe Ref 5575 World Time Moon is introduced in 2014 to commemorate the manufacture's 175th anniversary. In order to make this iconic World Time model more special, an innovative moon-phase display is added to make this poetic complication come alive in a totally new way.

The new caliber 240 HU LU was developed explicitly to achieve a harmonious fusion of the world's 24 time zones with the lunar cycle. As a tribute to Patek Philippe’s notable heritage, Central European Time is represented by the city of Geneva instead of Paris in the regular world time watches. The design of the round Calatrava case isn't a revolutionary departure from the original models but without shoulder around the crown.  As a result, the case is now with an uninterrupted line from lug to lug in contrast to its considered more detailed dial.

The World Time Moon is crafted in a limited edition of 1300 pieces and this is the first time this reference has been offered at auction in completely mint condition.
