18 Karat White Gold, Cultured Pearl and Diamond Necklace, Cartier, France

The multi-strand necklace of nested design, composed of numerous cultured pearls measuring approximately 8.4 to 3.5 mm, gathered at intervals by tapered links set with round diamonds weighing 5.92 carats, length graduated from 16 to 20 inches, signed Cartier, numbered 29227C, with French assay and workshop marks.

In very good condition. One strand, nearest to the top when worn, has more give between the pearls than the other strands. The diamonds are approximately F-G color, VVS-VS clarity. The pearls have a white body color with very slight rose overtones and good to excellent luster and minor blemishing. Available on request: a copy of the Valuation by Cartier, January 17, 2011 stating an estimated retail value of $100,000.
