Centering a cushion-cut sapphire weighing 24.72 carats, accented by pear-shaped diamonds weighing approximately 9.00 carats, mounted in gilt-platinum, size 3½, signed Bulgari. With signed box.
Condition
In very good condition. The sapphire is a medium-deep, richly saturated, bright, slightly violetish blue, very very lightly included with surface abrasions and minor chips to the fact junctions visible under magnification. The girdle exhibits minor chipping and 2 chips that are moderate to significant. The culet also exhibits a moderate chip. The pear-shaped diamonds are approximately F-G color, VS clarity. The shank is expandable and tests as gilt-platinum. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 1074675 stating that the sapphire is of Classic Burmese origin, with no indications of heating. Accompanied by Gübelin report no. 16075089 stating that the sapphire is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating. Together with an Information Sheet on unheated sapphires.
