The first wristwatch with a cut-cornered rectangular dial framed by single-cut diamonds, gross weight approximately 40 dwts, quartz movement, inner circumference 5¼ inches, the dial, caseback and deployment buckle signed Cartier; the second wristwatch with an oval-shaped dial set with circular rows of round diamonds, gross weight approximately 33 dwts, manual movement, inner circumference approximately 5¼ inches, caseback signed Baume & Mercier, numbered 15704 and 19928.
Condition
Both watches in very good condition with very minor areas of scratching and discoloration; both in two-color gold and with deployant buckles. CARTIER: Single-cut diamonds weighing approximately .90 carat; approximately near colorless and of fine clarity. We are not able to confirm that the diamonds date from the time of manufacture. Quartz movement (not manual as noted in the catalogue) currently running. BAUME & MERCIER: Round and single-cut diamonds approximately 1.25 carats, approximately F-G color, VVS-VS clarity. The caseback signed Baume & Mercier, the buckle signed Cartier. The manual movement currently running. Please note the Important Notice Regarding the Condition of Watches on page 143 of the printed catalogue. Please note the movement to the Cartier watch is quartz, and the movement to the Baume & Mercier watch is manual.
