Condition

Overall in very good original condition. The various pieces all appear to retain their original rich patinas. There is some subtle variation to the patina colorations, which does not detract from the group’s cohesion and strong visual presentation. The hand-hammered copper surfaces show very gentle wear and light rubbing to the patina on the raised surfaces, and with a few occasional light and minor surface scratches and abrasions consistent with age and gentle use. The tray and crumbers with some minor discolorations and rubbing to the finish, as seen in the catalogue illustration. The interior and drip cups of the candleholders with minor surface residue and discolorations consistent with gentle use. Some pieces with minor surface soiling to the recessed contours of the design. A terrific opportunity to acquire such a large representation of Stickley’s copper desk and tablewares. -----
