Condition
Overall in very good original condition. The hand-hammered vase retains its original patina and displays a superb, rich russet brown coloration with strong red undertones. The copper surfaces with some occasional light surface scratches, abrasions and rubbing, and with some surface soiling and minor discolorations consistent with age and gentle use. The interior with heavier surface wear, soiling and oxidation as expected from age and use. The patina displays far greater subtleties and painterly depth than seen in the catalogue illustration, with deep tonalities of brown heightened in rich shades of russet red and golden amber. An outstanding example displaying elegant proportions, strong form, and an exceptionally deep and rich patina. -----
