Condition
Overall in very good condition. The surface mahogany top presents with a rich brown color with red hues and beautiful figuring. The wood has been sensitively refinished and presents with a few minor surface scratches, minute edge abrasions and light surface soiling consistent with age and gentle use. The front edge with three minor vertical scratches, the largest ¾ in. long. The iron has been repatinated and presents with minor surface scratches, a few minute abrasions and light surface soiling consistent with age and gentle use. The iron surfaces with some irregularities and minor traces of oxidation visible in the catalogue illustration and consistent with age and gentle use. An iconic work by Pierre Chareau that epitomize the artist talent’s for combining wood and metal in geometrical yet perfectly harmonious forms. -----
