Condition

Overall in very good condition When viewed in person, the wood presents with greater color variation and figuring than in the catalogue illustration, with nuances of honey and dark brown. The wooden surfaces have been sensitively refinished and present with minor surface scratches, minor edge abrasions and light surface soiling consistent with age and gentle use. The lower portions of the legs with expected concentrated minor abrasions and light surface dirt. One armchair with minor old chips to the top inner edge of the proper right arm. One armchair with some evidences of a prior restoration to the front corners of the arms and to the proper left back which don’t affect the solidity of the piece. One other with evidence of sensitively undertaken restorations to the front and back corners of the proper right arm, which does not affect the solidity of the piece. The armchairs have been reupholstered and the upholstery is in very good condition with minor surface soiling consistent with age and very gentle use. A beautiful well maintained set with pure lines and historic provenance, very rare to appear on the market. -----
