Condition
overall in very good condition. The chairs presents as a wonderful set that appear to have originated together based on current condition and relative wear. The frames are executed in a richly figured jacaranda that adds a extraordinary depth of coloration to the wood ranging from rich dark browns to caramel hues. The frames of the chairs present with scattered light surface scratches, edge wear and edge nicks consistent with gentle use. Four of the chairs with discolorations to the backrests that appear the result of liquid, as seen in the catalogue illustration. Two of the chairs are slightly uneven to the touch. The caned seats are likely later and present in a manner consistent with the original design. The cane is as a result in excellent condition. A wonderful large set showing a deeply sculptural minimalist form. -----
