Condition

Overall in good condition. The wood surfaces with minor surface scratches, edge abrasions and minor surface dirt consistent with age and gentle use. The lower portions of the front legs with minor concentrated abrasions visible in the catalogue illustration. This work was designed as a valet and the seat is hinged to reveal a storage compartment and the back is deigned to store a coat. The edge of the storage compartment is lined with leather which shows minor discoloration and surface scratches consistent with age and gentle use, as it functions to dampen the closing of the seat. A very fine example of this elegant model. -----
