the compressed globular body supported on three cabriole legs issuing from stylized ruyi heads, set to the shoulder with a pair of pierced phoenix handles, intricately carved in relief on the exterior with confronting archaistic phoenix, the domed cover similarly decorated, surmounted by a coiled phoenix finial, the stone of a deep green color mottled with lighter gray and darker specks, wood stand (3)

Condition

The stone with several fissures and stone flaws, six of which extend over the rim appearing as cracks, one with an associated infilled rim chip to inner rim. Infill to small chips elsewhere. The cover with two C-shaped stone flaws at the rim. Surface wear to the rims.
