Description

  • Ceramics
of spherical form rising from a shallow straight foot, one side with short spout set opposite an arching strap handle cut with double grooves, covered inside and out with a clear glaze pooling to creamy-yellowish tone, stopping unevenly above the foot to reveal the white porcelaneous body.

Condition

Two small chips to the foot, measuring approximately 0.6 and 0.4 cm. A 0.2 cm rim flake and minute frits to the rim. A 0.2 cm potting flaw to the shoulder, and a faint 1 cm horizontal crack or glaze line to the underside of the top of the handle. Inscribed number LL26 to base.
