the deep gently curved sides rising from a short tapering foot to a slightly incurved rim, modelled with a ridge to the interior, resist-decorated with plum blossom florets reserved in dark brown against a yellowish-brown ground, the exterior with a dark brown glaze stopping short of the unglazed foot, revealing the light buff body

Purchased in Hong Kong, 1984. 

Condition

There are several small repaired chips around the rim, together with a 3 cm wide glaze gap at the rim. There is a 1.3 cm kiln grit to the interior. There are scattered minute nicks around the foot rim. Overall with expected minor firing imperfections, consistent with age.
