with deep rounded sides raised on a short splayed foot ring, the interior finished with a thick ridge below the rim, covered overall with a lustrous brown-black glaze suffused with a dense pattern of silver 'oil-spots', thinning to an ochre-green at the rims, the glaze continuing over the upper half of the exterior, with the lower body and base applied with a thin teadust-brown glaze, the bevelled foot unglazed exposing the buff stoneware body

In very good condition. A TL test drill hole to the foot. A 0.1 cm glaze flake at the rim; other minor firing imperfections.
