the deep bowl-shaped body supported on three slender cylindrical legs, the body crisply cast with a broad taotie mask band divided by six vertical notched flanges all below a pair of upright handles on the rim

Collection of John Platt, acquired in New York between 1890 - 1920, and thence by descent.
Condition
There are minor nicks along the edges, there is a minute hole in the base . There are two spots of residue on one leg. There is a casting patch visible in the interior. Apart from signs of wear, the piece appears to be in good overall condition.
