Description

the curved sides rising from a slightly tapered foot, painted to the interior with two butterflies amongst three flowering peony blooms in yellow, red and lavender, issuing from a large garden rock, the exterior painted with further peonies to one side and chrysanthemum to the other, both similarly issuing from rocks, the base inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character reign mark within a double circle 

Condition

The dish has a slight warp, over-painting to two areas of the rim covering hairline cracks circa 5 and 2cm., long (at 6 o'clock and 9 o'clock respectively), further over-spray to the well and exterior, short glaze hairlines to the interior and minor rubbing and loss to some of the enamels on the interior.
