Comprising: a brooch designed as a frog, set with circular-cut rubies and brilliant-cut diamonds; a brooch designed as a penguin, set with an oval cabochon turquoise and a circular-cut ruby eye; and a brooch of blackamoor design, set with cultured pearls, a carved onyx face, variously-cut emeralds and brilliant-cut diamonds.

Condition

Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US; this piece may contain rubies of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Certification of non-Burmese origin is required before the import of rubies into the US. Please see our Important Notices and contact the department for further information. Comprising: a brooch designed as a frog, stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Rubies purplish red with typical inclusions visible under magnification, some abrasion to facet edges. Diamonds bright and lively. secure clasp; a brooch designed as a penguin, stamped K18 for 18 carat gold. Stamped ITALY. Rubies purplish red with typical inclusions visible under magnification. Turquoise of light blue/green, matrix visible to the polished cabochon. Secure clasp; and a brooch of blackamoor design, stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Cultured pearls of cream colour with rosé overtones, high lustre, some very minor blemishes to nacre. Onyx in good condition. Emeralds medium green with typical inclusions visible to the naked eye, some abrasions and chips to facet edges. Diamonds bright and lively. Secure clasp. Each with scratches to metal consistent with wear. Each in good condition.
