The rectangular case decorated with a radiating two colour lozenge design, applied to the centre with a ruby 'J' monogram surmounted by a rose diamond coronet, opening to reveal cigarette and vesta compartments with cabochon sapphire thumb pieces, measuring approximately 93mm x 55mm x 10mm, signed Cartier, numbered, French assay and maker's marks, the gold bridge pencil containing three retractable blue, red and black pencils respectively, signed Asprey.

Condition

Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US; this piece may contain a ruby of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Cigarette and vesta case, with French assay marks for 18 carat gold and maker's marks, signed Cartier Paris Londres, numbered 756, weight approximately 161 grams, scratches and abrasions to exterior commensurate with age and wear, overall good condition. Bridge pencil, stamped 9ct for 9 carat gold, signed Asprey London, Numbered 356525, abrasions to exterior commensurate with age and wear, weight approximately 18.9 grams, overall good condition.
