kneeling on a circular pedestal lotus base, wearing elaborate beaded jewellery at the chest and waist, the dhoti and shawl brown-glazed and decorated in gilt with dragons, the face with medative expression framed by a five-leaf tiara, the face, chest and arms gilt
Condition
The index finger of the figure has been broken and restored. There are some small chips to the extremities which have been restored, such as the tips of the hair tassels of the figure, with visible overpaint. There are two cracks to the base, one running from the underside of the base up the lotus base and continuing along the top rim of the platform (circa 23cm), the other running from the underside of the base and up the lotus pedestal (circa 13cm). There are general enamel flakes, rubbing to the gilding and glaze firing imperfections.
