Catalogue Note
First edition. Presentation copy, inscribed by Morris on the front free endpaper, "George Francis Campfield from his friend William Morris. November 1872." Laid in is a proof for a botanical design somewhat resembling the design on the book's cover.
Accompanying this presentation copy is a very good copy of the large-paper editon of Love Is Enough, one of 25 copies on Whatman handmade paper. In this issue, the final leaf with the Morris book-mark has been substituted for the leaf of advertisements in the trade edition.
