Catalogue Note
First edition. Presentation copy inscribed by Morris to George Campfield on the front free endpaper. The publisher's binding is exceptional, prompting Buxton Forman to write, "the book was issued in a peculiarly fine green cloth, stamped in gold all over the sides and back from a most beautiful design by Morris." A fine copy.
