Catalogue Note

first edition. One of the earliest Romantic works, issued the year before the author began living with Coleridge. The advertisement leaf present here is cancelled in most copies, including the one at the British Library A scarce work, since this copy was sold at auction in 1965 (Sotheby's London, 9 November, lot 204), only one other has appeared in the rooms since.
