8vo (8 3/8/x 5 3/4 in.; 213 x 137 mm, uncut and unopened).  Title-page vignette and colophon device printed in red. Publisher's brown buckram gilt; minimal wear. Half morocco gilt slipcase and chemise.

The John Quinn copy of the first edition, first issue, of Johnson's Poems, one of the key British literary publications of the 1890's.  This is copy number 10 of 25 copies numbered and inscribed by Johnson, "Twenty-five copies of this edition, Lionel Johnson". The second issue comprises the 750 regular copies of this title.
