Catalogue Note

Bonzo the Dog as created by George Studdy (1878-1948) was a hugely popular character in the 1920s and 1930s. Many stories first appeared in The Sketch and were later collected in annuals. All three illustrations, offered here, were published in Bonzo and Us (S.W. Partridge & Co., c. 1931). The first comprises the upper cover, the second is the frontispiece and the third appears opposite page 8.
