Catalogue Note

Roderick Cave in The Private Press (London, 1971) notes of Christopher Sandford that "in 1930 he started the Boar's Head Press at Manaton in Devon, from which until 1936 he issued a number of books, mainly by contemporary authors and many of them with wood-engravings by his wife Lettice."
