on easel support, the pierced silver frame elaborately decorated with putti and urns within scrolling foliage, cartouche engraved with monogram HR below a count's coronet for Hannah Primrose, Countess of Rosebery (1851-1890)

Hannah Primrose, Countess of Rosebery (1851-1890) was the maternal grandmother of the Duchess of Roxburghe. Hannah was the daughter of Mayer de Rothschild and upon his death became the richest woman in Britain.
