the complete portfolio, comprising ten screenprints in colors, with text by Richard Lippold, from the edition of 250, 1962, each on Mohawk Superfine Bristol paper, with the blindstamp of the publisher, Ives-Stillman, Inc., New Haven, contained in the original portfolio box and slipcase, each framed (10 prints)
Condition
The prints are in generally good condition, the full sheets. The sheets are slightly discolored.
Additional condition notes particular to individual prints:
Wide Light (156.1):
The sheet curls inward on itself.
Tenuous (156.3):
Three bleached areas in the bottom margin.
Patina (156.5):
Several inclusions in the bottom edge of the outermost green band.
Full (156.6):
The sheet is unevenly discolored with damp-stains in the bottom right corner and along the extreme right sheet edge.
Shielded (156.7):
A one inch wide area of skinning at the bottom sheet edge at center. Occasional scuff marks in the center of the image, most visible under raking light. A small inclusion in the bottom edge of the gray box.
Joy (156.10):
Occasional, unobtrusive areas of foxing.
Slipcase:
The leather-covered slipcase with occasional scuffing and wear at the edges and corners(cardboard showing through).
Portfolio box:
The cream colored linen-covered portfolio box is unevenly discolored with scattered areas of surface soiling and foxing.
Paper folders and justification:
The paper folders have a 1 by 1 inch area of discoloration/foxing in the bottom left corner.
