Description

  • Francesca Woodman
  • Untitled (Self-Portrait, Boulder, Colorado)
gelatin silver print, 1972-75

Provenance

Gift of the photographer to the present owner, 1970s, when students together at the Rhode Island School of Design

Condition

This gelatin silver print -- characteristically printed askew on unevenly trimmed 6 5/8 x 5 1/4-inch double weight paper -- is in generally very good condition. As is typical for Woodman's lifetime prints, scattered handling creases are visible overall in raking light. A sharp crease at the lower right corner breaks the emulsion slightly. The right margin edge is worn, with a sharp crease and some losses to the top paper-ply.
