Condition

This work is in very good condition overall. The canvas is unlined and the turning edges of the canvas are covered with adhesive tape. The surface of the pigment retains a rich impasto, due to the artist's working method. There is scattered pigment separation and some craquelure throughout, particularly in the black pigment. Some of these areas have been consolidated and stabilized. There are some minor losses to some of the peaks of the impasto and in a few areas of craquelure, visible under close inspection. Under Ultraviolet light inspection there is no evidence of inpainting. Framed.
