Condition
This work is very good condition overall. There is evidence of light wear and handling along the edges, particularly at the corners and along the bottom edge. There is a light surface soiling throughout the work. The colors are bright and fresh. There are some minor inconsistencies and gradations in the paint application, inherent to the medium and artist’s staining technique. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, there is no evidence of restoration. Unframed.

Catalogue Note
"A really good picture looks as if it's happened at once. It's an immediate image...I think very often it takes ten of those over-labored efforts to produce one really beautiful wrist motion that is synchronized with your head and heart, and you have it, and there it looks as if it were born in a minute."
