Condition
This work is in very good condition overall. The right and bottom edges of the sheet are deckled. There are multiple artist's pinholes in each corner and along the right and left edges. There is a slight undulation to the sheet, inherent to the artist's working method. The colors are bright, fresh and clean. The sheet is hinged verso along the top, right and left edges to the matte. Framed under Plexi.

Catalogue Note
“Diebenkorn, too, is a painter of emotional mood...The Ocean Park paintings do evoke architecture in their geometries and they do evoke the passage of time in their revisions. Evoking architecture, they seem ‘possibly haunted by the erasure of human presences,’ as Arthur Danto mused. Evoking the passage of time, they possibly record the transitoriness as well as the continuum of human endeavors.”
John Elderfield
