Condition
This work is in good condition overall. There is evidence of light wear and handling along the edges including some faint hairline craquelure at the pull margins. Under very close inspection there are very faint stretcher bar impressions visible at the edges and faint and stable craquelure in some scattered areas throughout. There are some very minor pale media accretions and light abrasions visible in sparsely scattered areas throughout, inherent to the artistÂ’s working method. There is a 2 inch horizontal abrasion visible in the center of the canvas 10 inches from the upper edge. Under ultraviolet light inspection there is evidence of very light retouching to the upper and lower right corners, to the lower edge 6 inches from the right edge, and to the left edge 2 inches and 3 1/2 inches from the lower edge. Unframed.
