Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate.
Condition:
This work is in very good and original condition. There is some light buckling to the canvas visible notably in the lower corners. Close inspection reveals a few small patches in craquelure, some of which have associated specks of loss, isolated in places notably to the thicker areas of black pigment. All other surface irregularities appear to be inherent to the artist's choice of medium and working process. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
