Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is slightly deeper in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. Very close inspection reveals evidence of light wear scattered in isolated places to the extreme outer edges and corner tips. Further extremely close inspection reveals a short and unobtrusive scratch towards the center of the lower right quadrant of the lower right panel, and a few extremely faint drip marks towards the right and lower portions of the composition which are mainly visible under ultraviolet light. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.

Catalogue Note
“For most of us photography stands for the truth, but a good artist can make a harder truth by manipulating forms or pushing paint around. It fascinates me how I can manipulate the truth so easily by the way I juxtapose opposites or crop the image or take it out of context.
