- length 3 3/4 in., 9.7 cm
a modern reinterpretation of the traditional kovsh, the rectangular bowl carved of bowenite, the flat shaped handle enameled in translucent oyster over a radiating ground, centered with a cabochon sapphire and accented with a finely chased gold acanthus leaf, the border of the handle and rim enameled in cornflower blue in champlevé relieved by a pattern of gold dots and dashes, struck K. Fabergé in Cyrillic with Imperial warrant, Cyrillic initials KF, 56 standard, scratched inventory number 30230
Condition
very chic and elegant, overall very good condition, some small surface scratches to gold surfaces and edges of mounts consistent with age
