A very similar wine cooler is illustrated by Emil Fabre, Die Französischen Fayencen des Mittelmeergebietes, 1965, pl. 78.

Condition

The piece is cracked from rim to base, then around base a further 12cm. There are minor edge chips, one measuring approximately 15mm filled at the rim.
