Description

  • marble
  • 40cm. high, 75cm. wide; 1ft 3¾in., 2ft. 5½in.
with an everted rim, carved tongue border, leaf and cornucopia scroll handles terminating in male masks to other half reeded body, on a fluted and waisted square plinth

Condition

In overall good conserved condition. Chips and losses to the edge of the rim. Slight discolouration and dirt to the marble commensurate with age and use which would benefit from light clean according to taste. Hairline crack to the centre of the bowl which measures approx 35cm. Minor chips to the plinth base with generally old marks and scratches consistent with age.
