Provenance

With Frye and Sohn, Münster (as by Jan Anthonisz Ravesteyn);
From whom acquired by the late owners in March 1992, for 23,000 Deutschmarks.

Condition

The small panel is uncradled and flat. The paint surface is stable with an even varnish only marginally discoloured. There are no major damages visible to the naked eye. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals some strengthenings in the dark tones of the background and dress, and some minor touches in the forehead of the sitter. In fair overall condition. Offered in a Dutch style black bevelled frame in good condition.
