Condition

Not viewed out of the frame. The sheet appears to be fixed with tabs to the backing card. There is a very slight undulation to the sheet. The edges of the sheet appear uneven at each of the vertical sides, which appears inkeeping with the artist's working materials. In places, the surface of the paint appears slightly uneven. There is some light surface dirt and studio detritus, but subject to the above, the work appears to be in excellent overall condition. Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching. The work is float-mounted, and presented in a simple light wooden frame, glazed. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
