Condition
The sheet is affixed with tabs onto a backing card. There is a very minor undulation to the sheet. The collaged elements appear secure. The edges of the sheet appear uneven, most probably inkeeping with the artist's working method. There is an extremely small tear, measuring approximately 2mm, in between the man's feet along the bottom horizontal edge. There is a very slight indentation running along the length of the left vertical and upper horizontal edges. There is some very light surface dirt and studio detritus across the work, but subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching.
The work is floated in a window mount, and presented in a painted wooden frame, glazed.
Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
