Condition
In overall good conserved condition. The marble top is a little dirty and would benefit from a light clean according to taste. The gilt-bronze gallery and the mounts generally are a little dirty and would benefit from a clean. Old very minor chips and scratches commensurate with age and normal usage. There is a horizontal hairline crack in the upper section of either side which can easily be filled or left as it does not detract from the piece. There is a small hole in either side of the roll-top section where there was previously a screw. The lockplate on the reverse of the coffre-fort is now missing. There is some slight water damage to the top drawer to the right of the knee hole which is showing slightly lighter in colour.
