The illustration of the catalogue is accurate. Good overall condition despite the inevitable scratches and marks throughout due to age and use. They have been relaquered. Traces of gilding on the green paint. There are some chips all over the lacquer as visible on the illustration. As visible too, there is a loss to the carved knot of the lower console of the illustration. These consoles were originally conceived as elements of boiseries. A later wooden moulding has been added on each lateral leg as these were originally part of a curved alcove. The tops are later. Highly decorative pieces.
