Condition
Bon état général, les couleurs sont d'une bonne fraîcheur, au fond on trouve quelques légères traces d'humidité n'altérant pas l'ensemble de la peinture. Présence éventuelle d'une retouche dans le fond gauche en haut.

Le modèle présenté naquit à Florence, il était le septième enfant de Léopold II, l’empereur du Saint Empire romain et de l’infante Marie-Louise d’Espagne. En 1804, il fut élu grand maître de l’ordre Teutonique, et honora cette charge jusqu’à sa mort. Entre les années 1816 et 1818, il fut vice-roi de Lombardie-Vénétie.
The sitter was born in Florence, the seventh child of Leopold II, Holy Roman Emperor, and Infanta Maria-Luisa of Spain. In 1804 he was elected Grand Master of the Teutonic Order in 1804 and he held that appointment until his death. Between 1816 and 1818 he was Viceroy of Lombardy-Venetia.
